The UK is this year hosting the G7 in June in Cornwall and the United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP 26) in November in Glasgow. COP 26 is predicted to be the most important climate summit since the landmark Paris agreement was agreed at COP 21 in 2015. The government has the perfect platform to take a leading position on climate change overall. Will tax policy feature in its plans?
