Kate Willis Secretary of the STPG reports back from the Stamp Taxes Practitioners' Group 2009 Annual Conference
The Stamp Taxes Practitioners' Group 2009 Annual Conference was hosted this year by KPMG and chaired by Gordon Keenay of KPMG's Stamp Taxes Group. More than 60 delegates heard presentations and case studies drawn from practice. As in previous years representatives from HMRC's Stamp Taxes were invited to the closing sessions of the Conference and to respond to technical questions put to them in advance.
The Question-and-Answer session attended by Nick John Deputy Director Customer Services and Technical and Jane Ewart of Stamp Taxes Policy will be the subject of a separate article together with other articles by speakers at the Conference.
