HMRC has published revised advisory fuel rates for company cars, applying from 1 September 2015. The rates are to be used only where employers either reimburse employees for business travel in their company cars, or require employees to repay the cost of fuel used for private travel. There has been a 1p per mile decrease to the existing advisory fuel rates (published in June 2015) for all engine sizes in respect of diesel cars and also for both petrol and LPG cars with an engine size of 1400cc or less.
