The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Responsible Tax, led by former PAC chair Margaret Hodge, is launching its first public consultation on Monday 23 November, which will focus on the OECD’s BEPS process and subsequent recommendations to the G20, which were endorsed this week.

This will be the first digital APPG, where members of the public will be able to observe in real time the development of the APPG’s work and external contributions. The APPG says its consultation papers and publications will directly attribute the ideas, evidence and contributors throughout the process.

The sequential workstreams of the APPG will be: an examination of the OECD’s BEPS recommendations to the G20; an enquiry into HMRC’s capacity to deliver fair tax; and an examination of tax reliefs and simplification of the tax system. For APPG consultations, see www.bit.ly/1SVytde.
