The Assets Recovery Agency (ARA) has now been operating for more than three years. I was there at its inception and for three years further as the Director of ARA's tax Counsel advising her on the taxation powers contained in Part 6 of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA) and representing her in the High Court and the tax tribunal.
