Bank Levy: UK and Germany

printer Mail

The UK and Germany have signed a Bank Levy Agreement to eliminate double charging where a bank is chargeable to the bank levy in both countries and to provide for exchange of information. The agreement will come into force once both countries have completed their legislative procedures.

HMRC has invited comments on draft regulations for groups and entities that are subject to both UK and German bank levies and have Germany as their home state.
