What were the key themes in this year’s Budget?
Budget 2014 set out the next phase of the government’s long term economic plan. Since Budget 2013 the economy has seen significant progress with economic growth exceeding forecasts inflation below target and the deficit reducing year on year.
This is the result of this government taking the difficult decisions needed to put the public finances on a sustainable path.
While we continue to take these difficult decisions Budget 2014 is one that supports businesses to invest export and create jobs.
