The Chancellor will deliver his Emergency Budget speech at 12.30pm on Tuesday 22 June 2010 and not at 3.30pm as originally confirmed by the Treasury. The House of Commons passed a business motion on Tuesday 15 June which allows the House to sit early on 22 June. The motion provides: 'That on Tuesday 22 June the House shall meet at 11.30 am and references to specific times in the Standing Orders of this House shall apply as if that day were a Wednesday.' The schedule for Tuesday 22 June has been revised accordingly in the Parliamentary calendar.
