The Office for National Statistics released the latest inflation information on 15 June. The retail prices index (RPI) for the year to May 2010 was 223.6 representing a rise of 5.1% over May 2009. RPI was however slightly down from the recent high of 5.3% in April. For the same period the consumer prices index was up 3.4%.
