The first time double tax agreement between the UK and Libya set out in the schedule to The Double Taxation Relief and International Tax Enforcement (Libya) Order SI 2010/243 entered into force 8 March 2010. In the UK the provisions take effect from 1 April 2010 for corporation tax and 6 April 2010 for income tax and capital gains tax. In Libya they will take effect from 1 January 2011.

The Double Taxation Relief and International Tax Enforcement (Virgin Islands) Order SI 2009/3013 giving effect to a tax information exchange agreement between the UK and the British Virgin Islands and an agreement relating to the avoidance of double taxation with respect to taxes on income entered into force on 12 April 2010.
