Cheaper HMRC telephone numbers unveiled

HMRC has introduced new 0300 and 0345 telephone helplines for corporation tax, tax credits, probate and inheritance tax, trust and deceased estates, blind person’s priority line and retirement annuity contracts, with effect from 25 and 27 September.

HMRC has introduced new 0300 and 0345 telephone helplines for corporation tax, tax credits, probate and inheritance tax, trust and deceased estates, blind person’s priority line and retirement annuity contracts, with effect from 25 and 27 September. The old 0845 numbers will still be able to be used for about the next 18 months. Other 0845 numbers will change in the coming months as part of a rolling programme to give customers cheaper access to HMRC helplines. The new helpline numbers are: corporation tax (CT) helpline: 0300 200 3410; CT forms orderline: 0300 200 3411; CT orderline (fax): 0300 200 3419; tax credits payment helpline: 0345 302 1429; tax credits, agents: 0345 300 3943; priority line tax credits, childcare providers: 0345 300 3941; blind person’s helpline: 0300 200 3301; and retirement annuity contracts: 0300 200 3302.
