CIOT examinations

Vincent Oratore CIOT President congratulated more than 1 000 May 2010 examination candidates who made progress towards becoming a Chartered Tax Adviser including 278 who have now completed all stages necessary to enable them to become members of the tax body.

Oratore said it was ‘very important’ that candidates choose the advisory papers that are most relevant to them. Pass rates for the May 2010 advisory papers ranged from 40% for the taxation of individuals to 74% for VAT on cross-border transactions.
