The new pensions regime commences in the UK on 6 April (A day). Most companies will by now have been considering along with their advisers what they should do in relation to their occupational pension schemes and other pension arrangements for their employees before the new simplified tax regime for pensions commences on A Day. In this article I will run through what the main considerations are for companies look at some aspects that need action by companies before A Day (or not too long thereafter) explore some of the opportunities offered by the new pensions regime and conclude with employer-financed retirement benefit schemes (EFRBS) ...
