Following the review of links with large businesses by Sir David Varney HMRC is making major changes to the way in which it interacts with its customers. These changes are very pronounced in the field of employment taxes with a move away from periodic PAYE audits where businesses' only regular interaction with HMRC was in relation to process-led year-end requirements to a regime where employers are encouraged to interact more regularly with HMRC.
