A revised version of the Finance Bill has been published following completion of committee stage for the Bill. The date for report stage is yet to be announced.
In the committee debate Exchequer Secretary James Murray stated: ‘The Government will introduce as the Chancellor set out a number of amendments to the Finance Bill on Report to make the temporary repatriation facility simpler to use and more attractive to those who want to benefit from it while retaining the structure announced at the Budget.’
