The current situation
2010 has been a fairly quiet one for the asset management industry on the tax front with no new measures that will directly impact the taxation of funds being announced in either last month’s emergency Budget or that of the predecessor Government.
This is not surprising given the focus on supporting the economy through recovery and is somewhat of a relief given the plethora of legislation over the previous few years resulting in an unnecessarily complex tax regime for funds.
