HMRC intends to launch a campaign in November 2022 targeting non-compliance linked to offshore corporates owning property in the UK. Originally, HMRC had aimed to kick things off in September. Letters are now expected to be sent out in November to non-resident companies which own UK property and those which appear to have made a disposal of UK residential property between 6 April 2015 and 5 April 2019 without filing a non-resident capital gains tax return.
