HMRC has removed the overarching Brexit banner message from its internal guidance manuals. On 23 December 2020, HMRC applied the banner message to the manuals: ‘You should check the other guidance available on Gov.uk from HMRC as Brexit updates to those pages are being prioritised before manuals’. HMRC has now confirmed that most of the manuals have been updated to reflect the necessary changes for Brexit, and so the banner message has been removed. Individual manuals will retain a ‘tailored banner’ where necessary.
