HMRC has announced that it is recruiting solicitors and barristers to ‘help shape the country’s tax laws and lead the fight against tax avoidance’. The application deadline is 28 January 2015 and interviews are scheduled to take place from 9 March to 20 March 2015. ‘Whether experienced or newly qualified, you will have a strong intellect, an ability to master new areas of law quickly and strong delivery and team-working skills,’ HMRC said in a statement, adding: ‘HMRC would particularly welcome lawyers with experience of tax and/or litigation. However, tax experience is not essential as full training will be provided.’
