It is two months since my last article during which we have seen the Autumn Statement and the publication of draft clauses for Finance Bill 2013. Most of the Finance Bill clauses had been trailed and in many cases consulted upon and as a result there were no hugely significant surprises in the international tax area. There were however a few EU related clauses published that had not been previously trailed including changes to the UK’s exit charge rules to allow the payment of tax to be deferred in most cases and amendments...
