On 1 April this year a new HMRC team — Insolvency Compliance & Securities (ICS) — came into existence with the key aim of reducing losses to the Exchequer as a result of insolvency.
 
It brings together a number of teams from HMRC's predecessor departments:
 
●     Insolvency Compliance Units PAYE Direction Units and the Special Trades Investigation Unit (from the Inland Revenue); and
 
●     VAT Securities the National Asset Securities Team and the Civil Asset...
