This is a time of great change for the Civil Service. There is considerable discussion and activity in the various component parts of the service about the challenge of delivering higher performance. The Service is aiming to increase the diversity of skills and cultures in its leadership and to improve its focus on and capability for delivery. It is a very interesting time in which we are creating HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and we intend to be at the forefront of this wider agenda.
