The Pensions Dashboards (Prohibition of Indemnification) Act 2023 received Royal Assent on 2 May 2023, and creates a specific criminal offence for pension scheme trustees or managers to reimburse themselves using the assets of the pension scheme in respect of penalties imposed under the Pensions Dashboards Regulations, SI 2022/1220. Dashboard services are expected to be made available to the public at some point in the future (‘Dashboards Available Point’). The first staging date for large schemes to start to connect to the dashboards service is 31 August 2023.
