OECD launches two-pillar support network

printer Mail

The OECD Forum on Tax Administration (FTA) has launched a new peer-to-peer network to help support developing countries in their implementation of Pillars One and Two. The FTA Pillar Knowledge Sharing Network held its first virtual meeting on 13 June 2023, focusing on how tax officials are preparing for implementation of Pillar Two.

The network aims to facilitate the sharing of information and experiences, with ‘early-implementer’ administrations offering practical advice on administrative and implementation aspects of the two-pillar solution.

HMRC is credited with developing the initiative which the OECD says ‘will leverage Canada Revenue Agency’s Knowledge Sharing Platform for Tax Administrations to provide an online channel for tax administrations globally to share knowledge, as well as to address specific questions around Pillar implementation.’
