One minute with Felicity Cullen QC, barrister, Devereux Chambers

What attracted you to the tax bar?

I set my heart on tax before I studied law and happily it was my favourite subject at the University of Birmingham. I chose the bar rather than the solicitors’ side of the profession and applied only to tax chambers from where I have practised ever since. I love the challenge and enjoy working with the many great people in the field.

Are you at home in Devereux?

Devereux has four different practice streams one of which is tax. I have been joined here by three colleagues (Barrie Akin Aparna Nathan and Marika Lemos) who were formerly also at Gray’s Inn Tax Chambers. Together with Jolyon Maugham who joined Devereux about a year ago and the existing tax practitioners at Devereux I am very much at home.
