What attracted you to tax?
Actually I was attracted to working with entrepreneurs families and privately owned businesses – I just happen to have specialised in tax at an early point in my career. I see myself more as a relationship partner than a tax partner per se although I think the whole challenge of taxation and responsibly managing that as a cost is fascinating and hugely important to business competitive economies and social infrastructure.
Who in tax do you most admire?
In the professional world probably John Whiting – he has admirable conviction around simplifying the tax system especially for those who most struggle with it and can least afford to take advice. In the business...
