How did you get into tax?
About 20 years ago my clerk called me to say that I was in court the next day doing a tax case. I said to him ‘I don’t do tax’ and he said ‘You do now’. And if truth be told my first tax case won itself but I was hooked from that moment on.
Who in tax do you most admire?
I admire many people in tax but presently I have a huge amount of admiration for Christopher Vajda QC. At the top of his profession after a brilliant career at the Bar he has been appointed as the UK Judge to the CJEU which is a huge honour. I admire his willingness to leave the profession when...
