Responding to concerns from the software and banking industries, HMRC said they will accept RTI data through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), in addition to the internet channel, until at least April 2014. But the timetable for moving employers to the RTI system, announced on 4 April, is unchanged.
An HMRC spokesperson said: ‘We remain on track to support the DWP's Universal Credit from October 2013.’
