Parliamentary Ombudsman publishes report on pensions
Ann Abraham the Parliamentary Ombudsman has published a report which has found the Treasury the former regulator (OPRA) the National Insurance Contributions Office and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) guilty of maladministration in connection with official guidance on the security of final salary occupational pension schemes. The Ombudsman criticised the guidance for being 'inaccurate incomplete unclear and inconsistent'.
