Anybody involved with real estate transactions is likely to testify that the introduction of stamp duty land tax (SDLT) has made life more difficult. Technically SDLT is more complicated than stamp duty not least because in the short time that it has been on the statute book the legislation has undergone two sets of material changes and administratively the burden of completing and filing the appropriate forms is onerous. There is likely to be a continuous demand for conferences...
