Earlier this year HMRC announced a major consultation on certain aspects of the (corporate) taxation of insurance companies. Part of that relates to the taxation of general insurers in particular in relation to reform of the Finance Act 2000 s 107 — my colleague Rob Gill has written about that later in this issue (p 25).
