The December 2006 Pre-Budget Report includes a lengthy paper 'Tackling managed service companies' which sets out the Government's plans to create a new legislative framework that will only apply to what are referred to as managed service company (MSC) schemes. Although the document makes reference to creating a level playing field it appears that instead the Chancellor has blown the whistle taken the ball and closed the pitch!
The proposals are wide and encompass the taxation of MSC schemes and their workers the treatment of travel and subsistence costs for these workers and new legislation...
