Many tax agents are unaware of HMRC’s Agent Dedicated Line and the teams of Agent Account Managers set up to help agents, according to the ICAEW Tax Faculty.

Guidance for Tax agents and advisers is provided on HMRC’s website. A new guide published by the Tax Faculty is designed to ‘help agents quickly find the part of HMRC they need’ and includes lists of HMRC telephone numbers, postal addresses, electronic forms and website links.

ICAEW TAXtools1 is freely available from the Tax Faculty website. ‘This guide is part of ICAEW’s contribution to the Action on HMRC service issues initiative to help improve HMRC’s standards,’ the Faculty said. LexisNexis, publisher of Tax Journal, publishes a Tax Office Directory.
