Let me begin as a regular contributor to The Tax Journal from February 1993 to November 2006 and as a member of its Editorial Board since with an annual in-between shy at the Chancellor by congratulating The Tax Journal on reaching the very significant milestone of Issue 1000. It is a tribute to its editors and contributors over that time that it has become the established quality weekly on both direct and indirect taxation that it is today.
