The UK has agreed to the EU’s proposed two-month extension of the provisional application of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) pending formal ratification by the EU institutions. The UK government hopes that there will be no further extension of the provisional application period beyond 30 April 2021 ‘given the uncertainty it creates for individuals and businesses’.
