In the wake of the financial crisis the FSA was asked in October 2008 to analyse the origins of the financial crisis and recommend regulatory reforms. Lord Adair Turner the newly appointed Chairman of the FSA published his report in March 2009 focusing on how to create a future financial system which is more stable and better able to serve the needs of businesses and households.
