Recently because of the recession there has been an upsurge in administrations and consequently I have been asked a lot of VAT questions by insolvency practitioners (IPs) clients and colleagues about a particular aspect of an administration which has a VAT problem. This article looks at the main VAT problem areas in what I describe as 'trading administrations' and offers suggestions for resolving these problems.
