The Welsh government is consulting until 19 May 2015 on a new landfill disposals tax to replace the UK landfill tax in Wales from April 2018. The consultation covers: tax rates and taxable disposals; proposals for improving tax compliance and enforcement; options to simplify and modernise tax administration; and whether and how a proportion of landfill disposals tax receipts could be used to enhance community wellbeing.
