On 14 May representatives of the Oxford University Centre for Business Taxation (CBT) gave a breakfast briefing at the Apothecaries Hall to present and discuss some research they have undertaken on who really pays (or more correctly bears the burden of) corporation tax. The briefing was well attended by a mixture of barristers solicitors accountants tax advisers academics industry representatives business and representatives from HMRC and HM Treasury. A lively discussion followed.
