Adrian is a barrister at Pump Court Tax Chambers specialising in all tax matters including dispute resolution and litigation, particularly corporate matters (such as reorganisations, financings, share sale and purchases, take-overs), trust matters, land development and indirect taxation. He has developed a leading profile in the taxation of intellectual property and in that regard he has recently advised a number of high profile individuals in relation to the taxation of income derived from image rights. He has had a varied career having been a partner in two City Law Firms, an Oxford don and Professor of Business Law & Director of the Tax Research Unit, King's College, London before joining Pump Court Tax Chambers as a barrister. He sits as a Judge of the First Tier and Deputy Judge of the Upper Tier Tax Tribunals.
He has written and lectured extensively on tax and associated matters particularly on Tax and Intellectual Property, Trusts, Corporate Reconstructions, Property Development, and Tax Avoidance. He is also a member of The Tax Journal Editorial Board.
