Alan Dolton Editor of Tolley's Tax Cases summarises the House of Lords debate on the Finance Bill
 
The House of Lords began its discussion of the Finance Bill on Tuesday 17 July. Lord Davies of Oldham moved the Second Reading. He stated:
 
'… we have refocused tax incentives by bringing in a new £50 000 annual investment allowance targeted at helping all businesses to invest and grow and have increased the R&D tax credits for small and medium enterprises. Let me turn now to the important subject of managed service companies which was identified by your Lordships' committee.
