As expected the main focus of the Chancellor's 2005 Pre-Budget Report (PBR) was the state of the economy. My colleague John Hawksworth has given an economic analysis on page 11 in this issue of The Tax Journal; employers can note that the general picture of the UK economy is a positive one with reasonable growth for the coming years.
