What’s the role of the committee?
The Economic Affairs Committee (EAC) has a wide remit from the House of Lords to look into economic issues. Unlike our Commons counterparts Lords Committees don’t mirror government departments so we have the flexibility to focus on topical issues across the economic board. In recent years we have reported on for example the economic implications of immigration the audit market Scottish independence and corporate taxation.
