Guidance is available on the HMRC website indicates that HMRC will continue to accept forms R68(i) until 30 September 2013.
A joint statement issued by charity sector groups including the Charity Finance Group, the Institute of Fundraising and the Charity Tax Group called on the ‘estimated 100,000’ charities who currently claim gift aid to review their systems ahead of the September deadline.
‘Awareness of the impending changes is thought to be low among many charities,’ it said.
