Further general election tax explainers

The CIOT has published several additional general election ‘explainers’. The list now covers the following:

• tax and the state pension (31 May);

• the general election and Scotland (tax powers) (21 June);
• VAT on school fees (21 June); and

The Institute for Fiscal Studies has launched an interactive chart showing how the main political parties’ planned tax and benefit reforms will affect household incomes over the next five years. The chart breaks the findings down according to income decile and different demographic groups.
