The week commencing 10 June saw a flurry of manifestos being launched in the run up to the 4 July election. Although many of the parties’ views on tax are known through general political discourse the manifestos commit to pledges and provide further detail and costings. In this article we focus on the tax policies of the current Government and the Opposition while also considering the key tax policies of Reform UK the Liberal Democrats and the Green Party who make up the five parties leading in the polls as at 17 June.
