Responding to the further HMRC budget cuts announced in the October spending review, which are expected to result in 13,000 job losses, the Assocation of Revenue and Customs representing senior HMRC staff said the cuts would be counterproductive. ‘We know that each ARC member can generate at least 30 times their salary in additional tax,’ said Graham Black, ARC President.
