HMRC's Offshore Disclosure Facility surprised many commentators by achieving lukewarm success and this was widely attributed to HMRC's perceived failure to publicise the facility widely enough. Now PKF has issued a warning that 'HMRC should do more to publicise the New Disclosure Opportunity'. John Cassidy tax investigations partner at PKF says:
'Taking advantage of the NDO is likely to make good financial sense for most people who have not disclosed all their offshore income or gains and they should not miss out simply because HMRC does not get the message across.'
