How did you end up in tax?
I trained at Simmons & Simmons and spent six months with the tax group there. I was lucky enough to work with some very talented and enthusiastic tax lawyers who inspired me to qualify into that group. I also like puzzle-solving and daily changes to the law.
Who in tax you most admire?
Malcolm Gammie QC. He always offers sensible commercial advice often on a tight timetable. Also he often has a refreshingly practical perspective thanks to his background as a practising solicitor.
