The Postal Services Act 2011 (Consequential Modifications and Amendments) Order, SI 2011/2085, amends legislation including VAT 1994 to take account of the Postal Services Act 2011, which comes into force on 1 October. The amendments simply maintain the current VAT treatment of supplies of postal services, but are necessary to reflect the changes to the postal services regime, HMRC said in Revenue & Customs Brief 34/11.
